I've been Working in a small accountants office for the last four years. Within the last few months things have gone slightly pear shaped.
Since my boss passed away my bosses family are running the company. They've brought in another accountant who promised that he would make sure that the staff would be looked after.
Four months on & nothing has changed. We're in Limbo. There's only 2 of us in the office, one an accounting technician & an office administrator. We're both in our early 20's and for the last 4 months we've been managing the office, it's extra stress on us and neither of us know what to do about it.
We don't know if this accountant will buy the practise or if he will even offer us a job and even if he does neither of us are interested in working for him. We just want to know if we are entitled to redundancy or should we just cut our losses & move on?
Would really love to hear others views on this matter!!!!!
