Redundancy query

My other half has been informed he is to be made redundant at the end of the month and the company intends to outsource his job to another company. Is this allowed?
 
I'm not so sure that it is allowed. If the company was unionised, there'd be uproar.

As to whether it's legal, you should chkeck with Employment Rights section of the department of Enterprise, trade and Employment. Lo-call 1890 201 615.
 
He is not being offered a job with the other company. He works as internal security and administration and the company want to bring in a security firm to do the job. He's going to query it with department of Enterprise, trade and Employment.
