Firstly is it possible to make a pension contribution now to reduce my 2013 tax bill for which I must submit return by oct 31. I have already paid PAYE tax for 2013 so must submit return for income received that is not PAYE. The total income for 2013 will be approximately 36,000euros. Ideally I would like to make a contribution to pension that reduces to a minimum the amount of tax I must pay at 41%. So currently around 4000euros will be taxed at 41% and the rest at 20%. I do not really understand how to calculate my pension relief as only a small proportion of my income is liable for 41% tax. Also if I make a contribution to pension now, how do I show this to revenue so that they can estimate my tax bill for 2013
