I receive green bags from Dublin City Council frequently for recycling paper, cardboard and tin cans but on the bag it says ''no plastics'' so I am wondering what can I do about recycling for example plastic 7-Up Soda bottles, plastic bleach and shampoo bottles and plastic 2 litre of milk bottles.

Do I have any options ? I take my glass to a local bottlebank so plastic is the only thing I am throwing out which I think could be recycled.

Maybe it's worth asking them, perhaps the bags were printed before they switched provider?

In our area (north Dublin) it's Greyhound that take the green wheelie bin and they accept almost all plastics (notable exception being those styrofoam packing materials).

If you leave near a bring centre you could drop them there. The Dublinwaste website has a userful search facility as to what facility accepts what;

See if you can switch provider, the private sector bin collectors will recycle much more, for example Panda will take the plastic, glass and WEE items (electronics) in their green bins.
