Hi,
I had recently to replace a boiler which stopped working. The boiler, located in a rented out apartment, is a replacement for one that I had installed many years ago. Can I claim the expenditure in full in this years tax return, or must I claim relief each year @ 121/2%?

Say you are replacing a non functioning boiler aged 10 year + with a new energy efficient boiler this would have to be considered like for like as the older boilers are no longer being manufactured. I am assuming that logically they would each have similar outputs. Yes, I would think so, in...
