Recommendation required for handyman in Dublin.

How do I find someone good and reliable to do a few jobs for me around the house, such as put up a shower curtain (unusual job as the walls are plaster board and have no fixing and the area is an unusual shape so I need someone who knows what they are doing), hang a heavy mirror, again on plasterboard etc

i feel sorry for him i know people who've gone out of business from putting deals on those sites.
also if your not in to redeem your voucher at the beginning your going to be left waiting
 
Wow, 466 bought, so €11,184 income minus whatever fee Groupon charge.

But they're looking at the best part of 6 months work for that 11k. Once you settle VAT, travel expenses, costs, etc...not much left. But then, it's a huge loss-leader that will probably result in a lot of extra work for them. They may also just work really, really slowly Most handyman jobs should be priced by the job, not time.

I ,and my neighbours have used a guy called Mark 0852429059. He is a painter by trade by seems able to put his hand to most things. Don't know his surname, and he's on the Northside (with a van), but I found him very reasonable, reliable and handy.
 
groupon charge a 50% fee , im not sure if thats plus or inc vat, given that the deal price is €24 that leaves him with €12 per voucher or less if they havent added VAT to there fee. his website gives his location as maynooth so at €6 per hour minus his travel expenses and hes up to 487 sales as of 18.40pm i really feel for that poor guy...............
 
I had a guy in from groupon yesterday it was €15 for an hour, he told me he gets €6 for each one sold and they sold €400. It was great to get a few bits done.
