Hi there, I am recently married and pay tax at both rates, we married 16th oct 2010, my wife had been on job seekers allowance until recently. Can we transfer my wives tax allowances to me for the entire year or only since we have been married?

You can look at the position at the end of the year and if there is a benefit to you to being jointly assessed you get that benefit x no of days married / 365. You can transfer credits and SRCO from 01.01.10
