Reasonable quote for adjoining/supporting wall removal ?

Hi all,

I have got a quote of 2,800 EUROS from a local builder (outaside of Dublin) for doing the following work and was wondering if you think it is a reasonable quote?

Remove block wall (approx 12 ft long) between kitchen and dining room (this requires steel to be put into ceiling as it is a supporting wall). Plaster & tidy up affected walls/ceiling/skirting board.

Remove radiator from said wall and put a new (smaller) radiator on another wall. This involves removing & replacing a row of floor tiles as the pipes are underneath these.

Addition of 2 electrical sockets + TV point / moving 2 light switches from old wall to another wall.

The quote includes the supply of all materials and removal of all debris. The work would take approx 4 days to complete.

I was expecting it to be under 2,000 Euros but perhaps I am underestimating the amount of work involved or costs of disposing of debris etc..

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: is this quote reasnoble?

It would help a lot if you put some more meaningful title on it. People tend to ignore general headings. I have changed but please be aware in future.

At a glance it seems fairly good.

Can you estimate the material costs and subtract them from 2800. Will there be one or 2 people on the job? divide by 4 and see how it looks then.
