Hi all,
I have got a quote of 2,800 EUROS from a local builder (outaside of Dublin) for doing the following work and was wondering if you think it is a reasonable quote?
Remove block wall (approx 12 ft long) between kitchen and dining room (this requires steel to be put into ceiling as it is a supporting wall). Plaster & tidy up affected walls/ceiling/skirting board.
Remove radiator from said wall and put a new (smaller) radiator on another wall. This involves removing & replacing a row of floor tiles as the pipes are underneath these.
Addition of 2 electrical sockets + TV point / moving 2 light switches from old wall to another wall.
The quote includes the supply of all materials and removal of all debris. The work would take approx 4 days to complete.
I was expecting it to be under 2,000 Euros but perhaps I am underestimating the amount of work involved or costs of disposing of debris etc..
Any thoughts?
Thanks
