Have BMW 318 - five years old
Have this very annoying rattle in thr front for a while now - It seems to be coming from inside the dashboard area. Can only hear it when going over uneven ground. Sounds hollow like there is soemthing knocking around inside the dash but am not certain.
Have spent a lot of time checking under the bonnet to see if anything is loose but can't see anything to cause this. Checked shocks and front and rear bushes were changed lately. Nothing in glove box either.
Dismantling the dash is not really a viable option as it would probably create another 10 rattles!
Just wondering if anybody has come across a similar problem as it is v. annoying.
