Rats

They arrived at the weekend in the estate - not sure where they came from and it not case of anyone with rubbish lying around or overflowing or open bins that attracted them

We all have poison and traps down

As private estate council say nothing to do with them

Any other tips and tricks - things to do/try, things to watch out for - etc or sure fire solutions to get rid of the horrible creatures.....

If it's a private estate, is there a Management Company? If so you should ring them and tell them to get out and sort it.

Used to be you could lay the blame on the builder moving in down the road and disturbing their habitat or harbourage - nowadays its more likely to be a lack of food in the wild because of the low temperatures or rising groundwater affecting their nests - or it could be a rat population explosion. Lucky you
