RAS Scheme

Just wondering I have a good tenant for last 2 years after having some bad ones, lease nearly up and they asking about RAS scheme. Just wondering is this a positive scheme to consider. tks

They must be in receipt of rent allowance are they?
Check it out for whatever county council covers the area for house location. I have one friend who has a house rented under this scheme and they praise it.

Yes they on welfare and get rent paid by social

I have a tenant on RAS for the last 4 years. Up to now all has gone well.

A problem arose recently and I was shocked by the councils response.

They wrote to the tenant and said that if she did not cease from the behaviour to which I had objected. They would stop paying the rent.

In other words I would have no rent coming in and I would be on my own as far as evicting the tenant was concerned.

I will never again allow anyone in on RAS
