I am looking to buy a new cooker i.e. prefer one of the Rangemaster range 90cm in all electric with ceramic hob. Will be buying in the UK and shipping to Ireland later in the year with loads of other stuff for new house there.
Anyone have any views please on these, likes / dislikes / worth the money / quality / practical or not / price ?

I cant speak for the all electric version, I have a gas/electric combination past 7 years in all that time only had to replace oven heating element and was very easy to source part and fit. Platewarmer is very handy at times also. No complaints from the "kitchen boss" in our house.

Out of curiousity, what are you saving importing it from UK? they are about 2k here right?

I have the all electric 90cm rangemaster and I am very happy with it.
Good quality. The two ovens are great. After 2 years of constant use, it
has not given any trouble at all.

It also has a separate grill, which is hard to find these days, for some reason.

I also bought it from the UK and saved a total of 900 euros on it and a hood.

I have an all-electric Rangemaster (110cm version) and I love it. I couldn't believe the price of some range cookers, but thought the Rangemaster was good value. Having 2 ovens is a major bonus - although they are a little on the small side. One of my baking trays barely fits in. But that is the only tiny quibble I would have. There is a storage drawer underneath one of the ovens which is brilliant for storing roasting dishes/baking trays. Wish I'd thought of buying it in the UK too, mind you!

Teatime, all depends on which rangemaster you want. i am looking at 90cm wide and all electric. the prices range from £1300-£1985 incl of VAT and delivery.
If you buy a range priced at £1,360 and upwards and also buy a hood then they throw in a free integrated dishwasher but i dont think i will take up the option of a hood, will try to buy that on ebay and i want a bosch dishwasher anyway (nothing else).
So probably will save some money as we have no Euros to our name (all our money is in sterling) and the exchange rate is rubbish for us. Everything we need for our new house from the duvets to the cutlery to the fridge, freezer, wm, electric shower is going to be bought here in the UK. i have a massive shopping list to get done before Easter.
all radiators, big stone garden ornaments, stove, fireplace, sun room suite, oak dining table and leather chairs etc are being sent over. we are sending some of our personal stuff over anyway so going to send it all the one time. not moving over till july next year but want to live in the new house for month of August (lets hope we like living there !!!) , going to rent our house out here in London fully furnished so will be leaving most things behind so have to buy everything from scratch for house in Ireland.
look on www.rangemaster.co.uk

Mosstown - I'd love to know what company you are planning on sourcing your electrical appliances from - in particular your range cooker. I'm looking at a Rangemaster 1100cm and thought I had a good price at EUR 2,289?!?!?

sorry that should be for the prices i am looking at.

also buying one of those rustique 1.5 bowl ceramic sinks - £139 at Focus DIY here in the UK, over £200 everywhere else.

Lorz, have a look for your cooker on the website and let me know how the price compares with your price. interesting research for me.
i am going to go round the high street electrical shops, pick out the appliances i need (sticking to Bosch for most stuff) and then use [broken link removed] or www.pricegrabber.co.uk to compare and find best prices.

Great website... I found the range for £1535 => €1706 v my price of €2289 and the Rangemaster side by side F/F which I want is £1300 => €1,446 v my price of €2085. That's a difference of €1222 which should MORE than cover shipping costs. Unbelievable. Thanks for the site. I've already ordered my sanitaryware from the UK €2500 v €6000. Just hope they arrive!

there is a huge difference in the F/F !? I am hoping to buy two separate units i.e. separate tall larder fridge and a separate tall freezer that has about 7 or 8 drawers in it. also buying a chest freezer so I can kill and freeze our own meat. My Dad has a farm so plenty to choose from. also once we move over for good, probably will end up doing all my food shopping in Asda NI once a month so needs lots of storage for the cheapies / special offers.

I've ordered the sanitary ware from Victoria Plumb. Now I must add that I haven't received the goods yet (just placed the order this morning) so I can't comment on customer service but on price alone - I'm very happy. Shipping was Stg £322 on an order of ~ Stg £2k - 1 bath, 3 wc, 5 sinks, 2 showers, 5 mixer sink taps, 1 free standing bath tap. Counter top sinks which are €200 here (on sale) start at £29! Freestanding Bath mixer is Stg £199 v €1055 here! Even the sales assistant was embarrassed quoting me for that tap! I'll let you know if/when the order arrives!

Hi Lorz,

Thanks for that I will defo check them out.
I purchased all our showers from and found they did a great deal - a grohe shower head that I was given a price of 950euro for here in 3 different shops I got for ~£250 on that website, they were the exact same as I had the part numbers!!
I ordered 4 showers, delivery fee was no more than £20 and had them within a few days!!!

I am also looking at www.thewhirlpoolbathshop.co.uk at the moment.

Thanks Again.

these price differences are massive ! well worthwhile.
Lorz, let us know when you receive your bath items, very interested in that too.

Got a quote of £1,299 for an all electric 90cm Rangemaster from samsyerman in the north, plus around £50 delivery.

tyrekicker, that's a good price. had a look at their website. i wish they would display their prices on the website instead of having to ring up. probably will still buy all my bits and pieces over here as sending over a removal truck anyway.

Recently received a range cooker from rangecookers.co.uk. Arrived very quickly, and very happy with price. In total, about €1950 delivered for Classic 90 Deluxe with ceramic hob, vs about €2800 here (sale price, list price is €3200)!

Hi

Just bought the dual electric/gas and don't know how I ever survived without it. I got it from Hardys in Newry after some recommendations on this site and saved myself a lot. Just bought a new house and got all the electrical stuff there and they delivered to Dublin. Worth a look.
