Raise my AVC

Hi,

I’ll turn 30 at the end of October and I would like to raise my AVC contribution from 15% to 20%. Can I do it from November 2009 or should I wait till January 2010 to get full tax relief?

Your limit changes from the start of the year in which you turn 30, so in fact you could have been putting in 20% since the start of 2009. You can increase it a lot to catch up over the next few months if you have the resources.
