Hi All:
About 3 weeks ago I sent off what I thought was all the required paperwork to open a savings account with Rabo. I included the following:
- Application form
- Copy of passport
- original P60
- Bank account statement (BOI). (<6 months old)
- Credit card statement. (<6 months old)
I heard nothing back from them so gave them a ring. I was informed that because my bank statement and credit card statment were from the same bank the CC could not be used as proof of address. Now the girl I was talking to mentioned utility bill,motor insurance etc, but I don't have any of these in my name. Finally she mentioned SSIA; which I do have. I stated that this was also with BOI, but she said that was fine.
My question is why will an SSIA statement from BOI suffice as proof of address but not a CC card statement? It seems contradictory to me.
Just thought I'd check here prior to posting off more documents.
