Questions on self build and mortgage

Hi

I have been looking at old posts re self building but they go back to 01 and 04, so looking for up to date advice.
We are building a basic 4 bed-3 bath house in CLARE (2200sq ft) and hoping to do it for €170k. ThatS ready to move in stage!! Can this be achieved?
Also how much do we draw down on each stage payment?
and
If we draw down €30k do we start paying straight away on that 30k?
Can you take cash out of a mortgage a/c? or is it cheque only?

If you do a search on self builds, you'll find a lot of posts. Perhaps you should pose this question in the Homes forum.

If you draw down 30K you do start paying immediately.
