My husband was recently made redundant. As i am working 20 hrs per week i applied for FIS. My husband has since got a job. I am just wondering should i notify FIS or is FIS payable for 52 weeks. I thought that as long as i stay working 20 hrs per week that i could keep the payment.

can anyone clarify the above

thanks

No you can't keep the payment as your circumstances have changed since it was awarded to you so if you are found out you will have to pay it back. If your husbands wages are low you might get to keep part of it

FIS is diffferent to other SW payments and is only reviewed after a year; any change in income before that review is not recouped or reportable, as GreenQueen says.

thanks for replies. i thought as much that its payable for 52 weeks and then reviews

thanks again
