My friend has been receiving treatment for leukemia for the past 7 months and thankfully is in remission now. She is due home from hospital in the coming weeks and we're wondering if she would be entitled to claim illness benefit (or part thereof) aswell as one parent family?
She has been claiming one parent family for 2 years. She was last in employment in April 2007 and had been working for one year.
Is there anything else she would be entitled to claim also. She has been given a council house to return to.
