query on married tax if I leave work

hi,
i am currently on maternity leave (topped up by employer- semi state) and will get my last paycheck end of jan 2011. then taking 4 months unpaid leave and may not return to work after this so will get a paycheck in May/June with my holiday entitlements from mat leave etc. Hubbie earns just over 50,000. My query is, because I will be earning about 10,000 during next year will my hubbie be able to get my paye tax credit? And if I don;t go back to work and earn nothing in 2012 will he not be able to claim my paye tax credit? have I got this right?

From next year Tax credit which can be shared between husband and wife is 1650 euro annually, so he can place up to this amount into his own credit.
