Hi just back from travelling the last two years. I have been offered project surveying job €70K p.a /bupa/pension/mileage (75cent per KM)xmas bonus,. I have 3 years experience. I am a bit out of touch with salary scales as only back. Is this the going rate anyone know.

I'm on a very simlar package and have 7 years under my belt(Senior QS on a number of projects). You are lucky to offered a package like that (mileage sounds very high), so I would sugest you take it and quickly.

QS's are in short supply at the moment, I recently have been offer a basic of 86k but I'm not intrest as my current employ has offered me other benifits.

Best of luck in your new job.

PS have you a degree and are your a member of the RICS?

Regards,

Jaid

Jaid, I have a degree from Bolton Street and part of the offer is the help me pursue chartership. I have been working on sites since very young and have alot of knowledge of Construction. I have accepted the job!

Just need to remove my CV circulation recruitment agencies ringing are relentless! Where are all qualified QSs going to. There must be 100 qualifying every year between Bolton Street and Limerick.

Thanks for all the comments by the way

Yeah, the demand is crazy... With regards the 100 qualifying QS's per year what about the south African and Aussie guys, there seem to be a fair few here as well.

Again best of look in your new role.
