PVC Coated Kitchen

We are thinking about changing our kitchen to a pvc coated kitchen. Are they hardwearing and durable? Any feedback on how they stand up to cleaning and the heat from an oven / hob would be appreciated. One guy says they are good and another says expect to replace in 5 to 8 years which defeats the purpose of changing.

I have one that's 5 years old now and I think it's as goos as new, they're easy to clean because nothing really sticks, just a wipe does it, I'm happy with it

There's a huge variety in the quality of these. I have seen some where the PVC wrap has separated from the core, leading to bubbling on the door surfaces. In one case it occured after about 5 years in what was a high-end kitchen. At times as well there is a seam where the coating applied to the front meets the backing, and knocks here will allow moisture to penetrate leading to swelling.

Generally the doors are better quality now com[pared to 5 years ago due to improvements in the manufacturing process.
OandSdoors and Kbb would be the best doors in my experience.
Beware of any price that is too good to be true
