My brother and i are looking at buying a two acre site to build a house each. I presume for each of us to get a seperate mortgage we would have to 'split' the site and have the deeds in our respective names.
Is it better to buy now in joint names and split it later or try and split now - any ideas of the legal, tax and financial issues relating to the 'splitting' thing?
