Hi
Has anyone used these people
[broken link removed]

They claim to give advice to PS employees regarding pension etc., Anyone heard of them? Need to seek out advice urgently.

I am surprised that they give absolutely no information about themselves on their website, so it is difficult to assess.

I am also surprised that they are Multi-Agency Intermediaries. The public sector is very complicated and I would have thought that they should be Authorised Advisors to advise on them.

Hi Paddylast I know a few people who have used Cornmarket they seem to have a lot of experience with the public sector and I dont think they charge you for going out to them you can take their advice or leave it

Hi ULS - You seem to be quite fond of recommending Cornmarket (http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showpost.php?p=630190&postcount=5) or dishing out the Cornmarket 'party line' (http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=108302 http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=119722). Have you any particular interest in this area that you'd like to declare?

For the record, Cornmarket don't have advisors. They have sales people.

As far as I am aware there are currently both Authorised Advisors & Multi-Agency Intermediaries offering pensions advice to Public Sector employees? I do appreciate the difference in status.

I met with a public sector retirement advisors 'advisor' over the summer months. I have in the past been a cornmarket client. there is no comparison. these psra guys know exactly what they're talking about and as independents have the best options available. i didn't feel under pressure to commit to anything as in the past with the cornmarket sales guy and i found the advice invaluable. these guys are the business and instead of our unions being in the back pockets of irish life we should be lobbying for a bit of independent, impartial and invaluable advice. i was actually advised to suspend my AVC for the time being, i 'bought' nothing.
