can someone please enlighten me regarding what is a public appointed taxi rank/ stand ? i have been given various different answers--anyone know for sure ? the last answer was by an old timer taxi driver who said ie--a public appointed taxi rank/ stand is that which is controlled, strategicly placed /public roadway/ place.--- maintained and governed by each local authority in each relevant county. ? would this be the correct version ?
