PRTB - late registration question

Hi all,

I want to register a rental property since March 08. Two of the original tenants are there (from the four) - so I believe this is possible. I want to do it for two reasons. Obviously the first because it is the law and also because I want to put the rental against the interest paid in 08 and 09.

Is it possible to register a tenancy from March 08 if two of the original tenants are in place? And therefore be able to put rental against interest payments for 08 and 09?

Just off phone to PRTB and the answer to both questions is yes - as long as one tenant of original tenancy is in place the tenancy can be back-dated to the start (max 4 years). You put down details of current tenants only - but you can also include details of other details such as changes in rent over years or if tenants have come and gone etc.
