I'll be travelling overseas and at no particular fixed address while my property is rented out. Does the PRTB accept "C/O" (Care Of) addresses for registration? e.g. can I use a relation's address?

Shouldn't be a problem,I presume the relative will open and advise you of any communications from them...there really shouldn't be any until the fourth year of the tenancy when it resets to year zero and requires registration if the same tenant is in situ (money grabbing con job)

You are required by law to have someone to whom the tenant can contact in emergencies and I do not believe that a tenant should have to phone/write abroad.
Furthermore, the tenant must withhold 20% of the rent to be forwarded to the revenue when the landlord is not resident in the state.

What happens if the tenant leaves and want his deposit returned (he can assign the lease)?
