We bought our house in November 2014, and have never received any correspondence from Revenue looking for payment. Would that be right? Thinking of selling but don’t want any nasty surprises. I don’t want to ask Revenue without being prepared for the answer!

Your exemption may only have applied for 2015 if you bought the house after 1 November as that was the date that applied. It would have been likely that some apportionment of LPT was paid by you to the vendor though given it was only a month they may have let it slide.
You'll probably have to ask Revenue for a new log-in and PIN, it comes out very quickly.

To answer this, generally no this would not be right. We bought in 2017 and have gotten a letter in 2018 and 2019 to pay our LPT. Are you sure you own the house?!

Could your Revenue address be different to your house address? When I sought the new LPT House number and PIN, Revenue sent it to my old address but with the new address as the subject of the LPT. So now I've realised I have to update my "Revenue" address.
It's actually the stamp duty return (which is now done electronically) that triggers an update to the Revenue's LPT database.
Unfortunately, it's not unknown for solicitors to make errors when filing these returns, which might be the issue here. Definitely worth running this down now to avoid a major headache in the future.
