Programming Timer for Heat Pump with Underfloor Heating

[FONT=&quot]We are nearing the end of our self build, and we have installed an air to water heat pump with underfloor heating. The pump has been fitted with a programmable timer, which allows us to set 6 on/off programs for each day of the week.

As UFH is a slow response system, unlike using rads, I want to try and find the right balance of programmed timings to keep the house at a comfortable consistent temperature, while at the same time not having the system running when it's not really necessary. It's a bit of a learning curve, but was wondering if anyone has experience with a similar system?

thanks

we are still experimenting but at the moment its as follows; 1-8 am 19.5C,
8-4pm OFF, 4-9pm 19C, 9pm-1am OFF.
This allows us to maximise the night saver rate and provides a little heat in the evening if needed. worked well last weekend when we had snow in donegal and the temp was 5C.

Scrooge. 19c is freezing.
What is the point in having modern heating system if you dont use it. Clearly you have no women living in your house. UHF is supposed to be 24/7. FWIW I experimented running mine on periodic timers versus 24/7 and there is no saving.
Keeping it constant - even over a weekend when you are away - is the most eficient.
A modern house will not drop much below 19 degrees even with the heat turned off.

yes leave it on constant.let each individual room stat call for heat as it wants it....
