What type of controller do I need for the DHW........can the time be programmed for one of the stats of does it need a seperate unitBe mindful of where in the kitchen you locate stat. Cooking will affect reading.
Control DHW with a cylinder stat connected to a motorised valve that will shut down circulation once preset temp is reached. Be sure and have a bypass fitted, either link flow and return at cylinder before motorised/zone valve or connect bathroom radiator to primary circuit. PC is flow and return to cylinder, also good foe summertime when hot water is on rad in bathroom will heat up. Good for keeping towels warm.
don't mix up a time clock with a stat. The amount of channels a time clock has will be directly linked to the amount of zones you have. 1 channel for each zone, so you can control them seprately. you would need a 3 channel time clock.
Thanks a millionYou will be using your stat as a time clock. You will need a one channel room stat for upstairs and a two channel room stat downstairs, one channel for zone and other for DHW.

I got ones from Flash that do the job, however it only has 2 temp settings and on/off every half hour but its enough. Also has a holiday mode. Cost less than €40
