Process of getting SW File

Hi

Just wondered what the process for getting a copy of my SW file is? I have given the local office a letter requesting my file, (not under FOI). They say they must send it to Cork because of the FOI act. What kind of time scale am I looking at? Can the local office not just copy it? I am going through an appeals so I need them.

to get a copy of the information held they can take up to 40 days and it states there may be a fee but this does not apply for gvernment departments
