Basic question this, I need to make a CAT return this year, as a PAYE worker who does not normally make returns and who does not use ROS I don't have many dealings with Revenue.
It was a cash gift, no reliefs are being claimed. I have installed ROS offline, filled in a short IT38 and plan to print this and post (registered) to the Collector General Office in Limerick with a bank draft enclosed. Is this correct?
However I have something of a phobia about sending bank drafts (this draft will be for a high 5 figure sum) through the postal system, even registered. Are there any better alternatives, can I call into a regional office and deliver it by hand? I presume that there is an electronic money transfer option also, is this a good option?
Thanks
