Problem sending text messages from Vodafone ready to go

I got my son a new ready to go phone last week
- Nokia 3220 - lovely lights on it that flash

He's having a problem sending texts
gets message not sent message

He could text on the old phne.

Nothing in the manual to help

Seems like a set-up problem

Any suggestions ?

If you ring Vodafone on 1907 they can make sure SMS is enabled and can (re)send the correct settings to the phone as on Over The Air message.

Check that the SMS service centre number is correctly configured. Check the Vodafone site for details.

Wrong number set-up for messaging centre.
