They should be contacting the executor.

In case it's of any use but it's probably the nuclear option and could be costly...

The executor is a family member and just brushes me off when i ask. They must still give paperwork is all im told. This is going for the last on for 5 yrs.
 
I don't want to go down the court route. I will be the person in the wrong not a executor holding it up for 5 yrs.

What do you mean by this?

If it's going on 5 years for no obvious/explained reason, you're not getting satisfactory explanations from the executor, but you're not prepared to tackle this formally (possibly legally) then you'll probably just have to sit tight until it all gets resolved and you receive your inheritance.
 
The rest of the family don't care about the will. 1 is living in the a house that they are to get and the other is getting the plot of land. I am the only one waiting for the farm to get signed over. So i would be the only family member making a fuss. It is a very frustrating position to be in.
 
It is very frustrating and totally beyond your control. The executor holds all the control.

What you can do is go to your own solicitor and get him to write to the executor insisting on a speedy distribution of the assets. Do you have a copy of the will? If not you can get it from the probate office. All you can do is keep up the pestering.

I suppose the executor is a family member and was chosen by your relative for reasons best known to your relative but the 5 years is horrendous. Why can’t you and your brother and sister approach the executor as a united front. With your Dad dying in 2020 this must be very frustrating for all of you.
 

But he has already said that the rest of the family don't care about the delay!
