Just wondering if you have a Mastercard credit card with Ulster Bank, would say, Bank of Ireland give me another Mastercard credit card as well? ( I have a current account there) Are they different animals? Thanks.
Yes - they probably would. Note that you'll get hit with the Govt €40 stamp duty on both accounts.
I'm not sure why you would want this? If you need extra credit, why not get UB to up your credit limit. Note that it makes little financial sense to carry debt on a credit card on an ongoing basis - the interest rates are very high.
