Hi, My laptop has microsoft works package on it (similiar to microsoft word but it's the free version that you get with the laptop). I've compiled a document I want to print on the laptop.
I have no printer attached to the laptop so want to print it off my friends pc, however she has microsoft word. Is there a way around this. I checked microsoft's website and there is a mention of a microsoft works converter. Has anyone ever used this and if so how should I go out it?
Thanks.

When you have created the document in works, select File and save as and you will see a box where you can select the format (save as type I think). Pick the Word format you need here and it should then be ok to print elsewhere.

On a related note, my university work (essays, thesis etc) are all in an old Works format (Works 95 I think). I still have the files but not the application, and I haven't been able to find a converter to change them into .doc files (or anything else readable!). Any suggestions!?

Runner, I've tried changing the format but it won't work. I should have mentioned earlier that the laptop is vista and the p.c is xp operating system.
