Primary teachers tax relief

Can anyone shed some light on whether primary teachers can claim tax relief for clothes bought for school? thanks

The Revenue.ie site says teachers can claim (or at least they could up to 2009) flat rate expenses. Follow the Excel link for 'Flat Rate Expenses List' from this page http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/employee-expenses.html#section1 & scroll down to 201 Teachers for the rate.
