Hi there,
I am a phD student and receive funding for this. I am now six months pregnant and wondering what my entitlements are. I have spent all my life in full time education and consequently have little or no PRSI contibutions to my name. Therefore I am not entitled to maternity benefits. Also I will need to take a leave of absence from my university for six months when the baby is born and my funding will stop during this period. I have a partner but we are not married. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
