PPS number for someone resident abroad purchasing house in Ireland?

Is there somebody who can tell me if it is necessary for a foreigner resident in a foreign country to obtain a pps number when buying a property in Ireland.

Yes, the PPS no is required to register the deeds with the land registry. The solicitor he or she engages to deal with the purchase will be able to assist with the relevant form filling.
