Payment Protection Plan (Mortgage)

Made redundant (involuntary) at the end of October, on Jobseekers Benefit, and have not worked since.

I was in with welfare yesterday to get them to fill out one part of the form. When I came home, I checked the answers, the girl had ticked yes to the question: Has the customer stopped claiming benefits?

I went in to query today, I thought she made a genuine mistake, but she said this was right, she had to tick yes because I could start work tomorrow and she would'nt know. She said she had filled out loads of these forms and this is the way it's done.

Somehow I can't get my head around this, I want to make sure it is right before I send it off. Can anyone clear this up for me.
