Hi I have just discovered that my husband has been paying ppi since he took out his mortgage in 2007. He thought he had to have it and wasn't asked anything about health and nothing was explained to him. We have written to the bank requesting the relevant documents and we have written to cancel the ppi. Is there any way we can claim compensation successfully, I am sure he was mis sold it. It is more than 6 years so would we need to do it through a company? I can't imagine the bank (AIB) voluntarily refunding us.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
