I was recently made unemployed and I am weighing up my options at the moment. I want to do a postgrad but one of the requirements is a 2H2 in your primary degree, unfortunately I only have a pass degree, however since then I have 10 years work experience and I was hoping this would account for something. Has anyone been in a similar position or know how universities might look on this?? (I have been onto the department dealing with the course, waiting for a reply)
The other thing I was interested in knowing is that if I get this course it is 1 year full time. As far as I am aware I would be entitled to get my fees paid and a maintenance payment of €1,300 for the year. Would i be entitled to keep my mortgage supplement?? And does anyone know if there are any other allowances I could claim?
