pop up bath drain broken

Ok apologies in advance as I don't know the proper names for these things. Staying in a friend's house and the circular bit on the side of the bath that you use to open and close the bath drain has broken off - seems to have a build up of white Limescale? around it as only ordinary turn - no force used. Its a duravit bath - can this be replaced? Do I have to buy the whole unit? Any idea of price or should I just get a plumber?
thanks in advance
Monica

You can get pop-up waste kits in builders providers starting around €20. You'll need access under the bath to remove the old one, it's probably best bring the old one with you to make sure the replacement is compatible.
