Polished concrete floor.

I want to convert my garage. I am not sure what I want to convert it into but that is another story.

There is an insulated concrete floor. Rather than tile or put down a wooden floor. Can I polish the concrete. Are there any disadvantages.

Doesn't quite answer your question, but I have in the past painted and stenciled a concrete floor and it came up quite well. It got me by for a few years till I could afford something better. It depends what you want to use the room for, but the only disadvantage in my view is the colour/look of it, it's not my thing.
