Policy Holder caused Personal Injuries by Named Driver on policy

Hi all,

Anyone know how this would work:

A Policy Holder names another driver on their policy - comp cover.
The Named driver has accident and is at fault for the accident.
The policy holder who is the passenger suffers severe injury.

As the policy holder cant make a claim against themselves and the injury is the fault of the named driver is there any comeback for the policy holder?

Does this make sense?! Hope so!

Surely if you are injured and have comprehensive insurance you can claim against your own insurance?

law was changed in 1940's.

in simple terms, injured passenger can claim against driver.
