Plumbing cost for new build

Hi all,

Have started a self build- stressful days ahead!!!

I got a qoute for labour only for €3300, to do the plumbing including fitting the solar panels!! Is this a good price in the times we in??
 
Sounds too cheap,Does that include VAT? how big is house? how many bathrooms, radiators?
 
house is 2100sqf, one bathroom, one ensuite. about 15/16 rads, one towel rail. not including vat, but think it cash deal!! the other qoutes I got was in and around the same, one was3k without fitting panels!! and 4200 another with fitting panels!!!
 
if he is a sole trader with low turnover he does not legally have to be vat registered, but be sure to get your qoute in writing and an official receipt. The person you get could be fine but check him out first and have something in writing. No offence to any plumbers here, but it really is a trade that can cause serious problems and requires skilled men
 
You would imagine €4000 to €4500 would be more like the price for that. a lot of under cutting going on in trades now..
