Please recommend Architect/Surveyor for attic conversion

I am in process of getting quotes for attic convert,hipped roof,need a surveyor/architect before I start to confirm with builder that he is doing it the way he should be, need good value
 
Try this guy Dave 086 3109755, havent used him myself, but heard good things about him

Not much info there. Am always wary of just mobile numbers for a business. Hopefully its not [broken link removed].
 
Sue, I am a frequent poster here and would not recommend someone who I thought would do a shabby job (as that would reflect on my own credibility), I don't know Dave's surname (hence I didn't give it), but he has come from a reputable firm and is now working for himself.

He is fully qualified and registered, and i have seen a few builds he has been involved in.

Ask him yourself what new floor joists he is putting in, what height they are off the ceiling below, how compliant is his stair design and what the minimum head height on the stair should be.

IIRC there is a little handbook on the DOE website that will inform you of these things.
