Playschool allowance?

I am getting one-parent family payment but this year money's tight as I pay €30/week for a 4 day week, 2 1/2 hours a day preschool fee for my youngest daughter.
She really loves it and it is making her way more confident and less clingy (she used to cry whenever she saw a man, go ask her father why). I don't get maintenance as her father is (supposedly) not working, on disability (even though this doesn't stop him bashing women!).
Does anyone know if there is an allowance for pre-school?
I am at the limit with my credit card and have to use up all my savings to pay it off!
 
You could ask your local Community Welfare Officer if you might be granted assistance towards the creche fees. It's not an automatic entitlement, each case is dealt with individually, and is based on the need for the child to attend the creche.

Community Welfare Officers are based in local Health Centres.
 
At the moment the subvention or discount is only available in community playschools, your County Childcare Committee will have a list of ones in your area.
