i am looking in to purchasing 3 acres of agricultural land and on one of these acres their is a derelict building.is planning permission required to renovate this building .i appreciate if anyone can help me with this querie.
It depends on the localion and tghe work required.
You probably do but the fact that there is a building there means that you have a better chance of getting what you want.
Get the unit checked out, make sure there is no order for its demolition or that it has not been decreeded as an unsafe structure or even listed forwhatever reason by the council.
Planning permission covers all facets of a building exterior and a complete renovation will no doubt incur permission however the objectors will not have much to object unlike a new building.
