Pine furniture left outside

Hi all

I have a couple of pieces of pine furniture that have been left in the garden exposed to all the elements. The furniture is now soaked and black in some places. Is it time to dump the pieces or could they be dried out and painted? One is a bench and the other a wall dresser piece.
