phone wire for compaq

I have a Compaq Armada 1530d laptop. I need a wire to connect laptop to phone connecter on the wall, it looks like an ordinary phone cable except it has an ordinery wall connection on one end and a small rectangular plug on the other end approx 10mm by 3mm.
Can any one tell me where I could find such a beast,thanks

Are you familiar with the BT connector? Is [broken link removed] what it looks like? If so, all you need is an adapter to use with a regular phone socket. Or you could just nick a cable which connects a telephone to the wall socket and use that instead.

I had the same problem when I bought a phone in Argos in the North

I got a BT -> RJ11 adaprtor in Woodies for about a fiver

As Fr Dougal says any cable from a phone should do, but then you have the hassle of swapping around if the phone is in use

thank you both but no cigar,a bt connecter is like the Irish one but bigger, my connecter is the thickness of coin and the witdh of a spoon handle
